Could this be true?
“You choose how your reality is
You choose
Life is about the power of choice
People have been taught and convinced that they have to adapt to reality, that they have to bend to it, but it’s the other way around
Reality bends towards the perception of man
Therein lies both the freedom and the responsibility of man
Because if you choose to believe the world is dangerous or evil, it will be
And if you choose the world is magnificent, it will be
This is a very strange phenomenon, very hard to grasp with the egoic mind
This is not about denial of suffering or justification of injustice
It’s about truth
It’s about how it works here
It is also related to what humanity perceives as location, as there are different conditions in the different regions on earth
Also there you have made a choice
You have chosen or you have been rewarded or punished with being born in a certain place
And really, having been born in Holland is not a punishment
It’s a reward
There is relative freedom in Holland
There is beautiful nature
There is safety and comfort
There is good food
There is freedom of speech
There are relatively few religious or cultural rules when it comes to food, marriage, prayer, how you spend your day
Being born in Holland means you have a lot of options
This doesn’t mean it’s your fault when you are unhappy
When you are feeling stuck
Because there is a lot of unlearning to do
You have to break free from your family patterns, to begin with
From your societal and educational patterns
And yes, that’s hard work
You have to do the work
And even when you have done the work
You might feel you have failed completely making the right choices
You might not have found your community
You might not have found the place where you could feel at home
Where you could feel you belonged
You might wonder: what did I do wrong?
Why is my life such a chaos?
Why did I so often act against better knowledge?
Why do I always feel so much pressure?
Why has my searching not been rewarded?
Why have I so often felt I was almost there, almost home, but eventually failed to get there?
You might feel like giving up sometimes, even though you have had glimpses of the divine, of rightness, of coming home, of love
But every time you lose it again, it feels as if you get further away from it
The older you get, the more you might be prone to believe that there is no place for you, no right path, no right people
You might feel all alone in this world
You might lose your faith and not believe in the right place, the right path or the right people anymore
You might think your tribe just doesn’t exist
You might feel a total failure
You might not have the energy to try again
You might feel done, finished
Done with all the trying, all the gurus, the methods, the therapies, the practices
You might get cynical and believe it is all bullshit
You might regret all the energy and time you gave to all this useless shit
All that shit you once believed in with all of your heart
You might become cynical about your dreams
Your conviction that your mission on earth was to be a healer
To bring healing and truth to this realm
What was it worth, as this mission hasn’t come to fruition?
So now what, you might think.
Wait another 30 years and then die?
No, because you can’t imagine another 30 years without a mission
You might feel empty inside
Not knowing where to look
Not knowing know what to do
Despite everything you’ve learned
You might feel wasted, tired, beaten down
Beaten down in the boxing ring and not able to get up before the count of 10
You just don’t know if you can make it
Getting up again
Moving forward
But if you can’t make it, you might just as well die, because what’s the fucking use, you might ask, to just get by in life, being totally devoid of meaning, except the repetition of old habits?
That’s not how you want to die
That’s not how you want to live either
But because you haven’t become the person you wanted to become
You might feel like a burden
That’s what you’ve achieved
None of your theories have worked
Nothing of what you’ve learned has helped you to liberate yourself
So why you don’t give up trying?
Life was never meant to be so full of effort
Life was meant to be effortless, without stress, strain and tension
Without obligation
Life was meant to happen from flow, from inspiration, from free will
Free will is choice
Free will is choosing to surrender to the divine flow within oneself
Freedom is choosing to let go of the stubbornness of the ego
What you truly long for is what we call ego death
When the forceful, anxious, obsessive ego finally dissolves
You can finally really chose from a place of freedom
The ego is the prison
The ego holds your mind captive
Only from a place of stillness, surrender and peace, real choice can happen
You are a burden onto yourself
And once you see that, you will be free
Everyone goes through phases of recalibration, of resetting
Phases of doubt and past convictions and fears coming up
Self-doubt, inflicted by others and then internalised
Self-judgment that has become part of your personality
A lack of self-worth
But you can chose to let it go
To let go of all the judgment, conclusions and opinions that others have put on you and that you are still carrying
Walk your path, even though others don’t understand it
Even if the ones closest to you don’t understand
Be firm with the energies that are wearing you down
Tell them to leave your system, once and for all
You have the power to do so
You just have to choose to do it
As we said: reality is about choice
Once you realize that and follow up on it
Clarity of mind will come back you
Inspiration will come back to you
You will again remember what to do
You will know where to start
It will suddenly appear easy to you again
As clear as day
And it will make you laugh
As joy is coming back to you
And you remember how easy life is
When you choose it to be”
